The ACS helps local officials, community leaders, and businesses understand the changes taking place in their communities. It is the premier source for detailed population and housing information about our nation. The ACS replaces and includes nearly all of the topics included in the decennial census 2000 long form. It is one component of a reengineered decennial census and is designed to address the nation's need for more current information of the characteristics of its population and housing.

The CTPP Data Access Software is a powerful tool to access data provided by the Census Bureau. The software contains a robust map tool, for both selecting geography and rendering results. Results can also be presented as various style charts and tables that can be rearranged to suit your analysis and display needs. Data from the tool can be downloaded as comma or semi colon delimited .csv, .xml, .shp, .tab.

The Consumer Expenditure Surveys (CE) program provides data on expenditures, income, and demographic characteristics of consumers in the United States. The CE program provides these data in tables, LABSTAT database, news releases, reports, and public use microdata files. Consumer Expenditure Survey data include the expenditures and income of consumers, as well as the demographic characteristics of those consumers.

The Texas Association of Counties compiles data about counties, including county roadway, population and tax information. In addition, the website links to additional resources for information about counties.

EnviroMapper for Envirofacts, a single point of access to select U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) data. This web site provides access to several EPA databases to provide you with information about environmental activities that may affect air, water, and land anywhere in the United States. With Envirofacts, you can learn more about these environmental activities in your area or you can generate maps of environmental information.

Longitudinal Employer-Household Dynamics (LEDLEHD) is a voluntary partnership between state labor market information departments and the U.S. Census Bureau to develop new information about local labor market conditions. Also provides detailed maps (OnTheMap) showing where people work and workers live with companion reports on worker ages, earnings, industry distribution, and local workforce indicators.

The regional economic accounts tell us about the geographic distribution of U.S. economic activity and growth. The estimates of gross domestic product by state and state and local area personal income, and the accompanying detail, provide a consistent framework for analyzing and comparing individual state and local area economies.

The MLA Language Map is intended for use by students, teachers, and anyone interested in learning about the linguistic and cultural composition of the United States. The Language Map uses aggregated data from the 2006 to 2010 5-Year ACS to display the locations and numbers of speakers of thirty languages commonly spoken in the United States. Comparative tables and graphs provide a snapshot of changes between 2000 and 2010 in American language communities, showing the age of the speaker and ability to speak English.

The 2017 NHTS provides information to assist transportation planners and policy makers who need comprehensive data on travel and transportation patterns in the United States. The 2017 NHTS updates information gathered in the 2009 NHTS and in prior Nationwide Personal Transportation Surveys (NPTS) conducted in 1969, 1977, 1983, 1990, and 1995.

Population and Water Demand Projections. Includes DRAFT Population and Municipal Water Demand Projections Data: 2020-2070 population and municipal water demand projections for counties and for Water User Groups (cities, utilities, and county-other rural areas) in each of the 16 planning regions.

The Texas Population Estimates Program produces annual estimates of the total populations of counties and places in the state and estimates of county populations by age, sex, and race/ethnicity.

The Texas Population Projections Program produces projections of the population of the state and all counties in the state by age, sex and race/ethnicity. These projections are used extensively by public and private entities.

BEA provides basic information on such key issues as economic growth, inflation, regional development, and the nation's role in the world economy. Estimates of personal income and employment by State, Metropolitan Area, and county are available through the Regional Economic Accounts site. The site includes an information retrieval service that provides a variety of analytical tabulations for counties and combinations of counties.

StatsIndiana. Multi-state and county profiles. Website tools enable users to perform side-by-side comparisons of US states and counties for a number of useful topics such as economy, education, income, taxes, population, housing and the workforce. The data on STATS Indiana are provided by more than 100 federal and state agencies, along with commercial or private data sources. The site is maintained by the Indiana Business Research Center at Indiana University, Kelly School of Business.

Summary File 1 (SF1), Rel: Sept 2012, (SF1) contains the data compiled from the questions asked of all people and about every housing unit. SF1 includes population and housing characteristics for the total population, population totals for an extensive list of race (American Indian and Alaska Native tribes, Asian, and Native Hawaiian and Other Pacific Islander) and Hispanic or Latino groups, and population and housing characteristics for a limited list of race and Hispanic or Latino groups. Annual estimates can be downloaded from the U.S. Census Bureau’s website. Historical estimates are revised along with new estimates. Due to differences in assumptions and methodology, these estimates will be different than that provided by the Texas Demographic Center. Some Federal funding and reporting may require official Census estimates or information from the decennial Census.
